Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Coaching Startup Founders – Deliver structured, inquiry-based coaching that empowers founders to navigate leadership challenges, improve emotional intelligence, and foster self-awareness.
- Applying Psychological and Leadership Science – Use assessments like Personality and Leadership Profile (PLP) and Hagberg 360 Rating Report to provide data-driven coaching that aligns with a founder’s personality tendencies and leadership gaps.
- Navigating Founder Growth Stages – Adapt coaching strategies to different startup phases (early-stage, growth, scaling, and exit), ensuring coaching remains relevant to the founder’s evolving leadership role.
- Facilitating Behavioral Change – Use goal-setting frameworks and accountability strategies to help founders shift unproductive behaviors and improve delegation, conflict management, and executive presence.
- Balancing Challenge with Support – Provide direct, constructive feedback while maintaining a trusted relationship with founders who often resist authority and external guidance.
- Leveraging AI and Data-Driven Insights – Integrate AI-powered coaching insights and benchmarks to compare founder behaviors against successful leaders, using metrics to track coaching progress.
- Helping Founders Strengthen Team Leadership – Guide founders in improving communication, delegation, and culture-building, helping them shift from “hands-on operator” to visionary CEO.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Certified Coach – Must hold a formal coaching certification (ICF, EMCC, or equivalent).
- Experienced in Coaching Executives or Founders – Proven track record working with high-level leaders.
- Socially Astute and Emotionally Intelligent – Strong ability to read people, identify blind spots, and facilitate deep coaching conversations.
- Expert in Leadership Development – Deep understanding of behavioral change, personality dynamics, and leadership growth strategies.
- Structured and Process-Driven Coaching – Skilled in applying coaching frameworks, best practices, and goal-tracking methodologies.
- Strong Understanding of Startup Ecosystems – Familiarity with founder psychology, scaling challenges, and investor dynamics.
- Tech-Savvy and Data-Driven – Comfortable integrating AI coaching tools, 360 feedback, and performance assessments into coaching.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Background in psychology, organizational behavior, or executive leadership development.
- Exposure to venture capital and startup ecosystems.
- Experience conducting group coaching, leadership offsites, or culture transformation work.
